The couple fell in love while they were shooting the film Naanum Rowdy Dhan. Two years later, they made an appearance together as a couple at an award function in Singapore.
In 2021, Nayanthara appeared on Vijay Television to promote her film where she spoke about her secret engagement.
She said, “It was my engagement ring. We are private people so we didn’t want to have a grand ceremony.
