Delhi Govt Announced Rs.5,000 Aid to Construction Workers – This is the Reason!! Air Quality Management Authority has ordered the government to ban construction work in Delhi amid continuously increasing air pollution conditions. It has been asked to stop the construction and demolition activities in Delhi-NCR due to worsening pollution levels, except for essential projects, and to ban works under GRAP III.

Now, the Arvind Kejriwal-led Delhi government has made an important announcement that it has decided to implement the order of the Air Quality Management Authority. Accordingly, Labor Minister Manish Sisodia has been instructed to provide financial assistance of Rs.5,000 per month to the workers during the period of the construction ban.
Meanwhile, Delhi’s air quality has reportedly improved slightly as of this morning. Therefore, CAQM said there is no need to immediately implement sanctions under the fourth phase of GRAP. On the other hand, employees are being urged to work from home to reduce vehicle pollution.
